About the scholarship
The Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Chandigarh 2026–27, from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and implemented by the Government of Chandigarh, gives financial assistance to SC students of the UT from Class 11 to PhD level. Applications go through the National Scholarship Portal.
Eligibility
- Indian national and domicile of Chandigarh.
- Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- Studying at post-matric level (Class 11 and above) at a recognised institution / Central-State Board.
- Annual family income below Rs 2,50,000.
- Not receiving any other centrally-funded pre-matric scholarship.
Benefits
- Monthly maintenance allowance up to Rs 1,200 plus other benefits (fee reimbursement by course group).
- Paid by DBT to the Aadhaar-linked bank account.
