About the scholarship
The Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship via University Recommendation at the Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) — the university formed by the 2024 merger of Tokyo Institute of Technology and Tokyo Medical and Dental University — funds international students on the International Graduate Program (A) for Fall 2027 entry. Programmes are taught in English; no Japanese is required. The 2027 cycle is announced and open now, and the university's official MEXT page was updated on 4 September 2026 specifically for applicants commencing in fall 2027.
